Although most of our comics are aimed at a broad audience, we do occasionally create strips that target a much smaller demographic. Usually we find ourselves writing a joke that will only be understood by fans of a particular franchise, but in this case our target audience is even more specific: computer programmers and electronic engineers.
So if you don’t understand this joke, don’t worry about it. A little background reading might help, but if you need to do that then it’s probably already too late for you to find this strip funny.
